Ministerial Network
For over 40 years we have loved connecting leaders together and giving them the tools they need to love God and people well! And whether you are a young leader involved in teaching and mission work for the first time or a seasoned leader, we all need to stay close to God and to fellow Christian leaders. We created the Salt & Light Ministerial Network to bring people together so we can all make a significant impact for the Kingdom of God. We do this by having monthly Zoom Gatherings with leaders all over the world to give them all an opportunity to grow in their faith, encourage one another, and feel connected with people who have a passion for the Lord and making a difference in this world for Him! We also provide free college level course material here on our website and nearly 200 teaching and training videos to help you grow. Being part of the network is also free, though we do encourage members to donate to Salt & Light Ministries to help us have more time to do the work of the ministry.
Our network goes beyond just networking, we also have the blessing of being able to legally license and ordain qualified people into the ministry. For the past 25 years we’ve served in the leadership of Fellowship of Ministers International which allows us to license and ordain ministers around the world. Whether you are a new leader just embarking on your journey to share the Gospel or you’re an experienced minister, we have a place for you! Types of Ministerial Credentials
Certificate of Christian Ministry
A Certificate in Christian Ministry is for people who are just starting to minister and have a passion to serve and grow in their faith. We have a network of Christian leaders who will partner with your church or ministry that you are serving with to give you the tools you need to be an effective witness for Christ and put you on track to become a licensed minister of the Gospel. We also offer monthly networking through zoom calls and other gatherings. Contact Pastor Tom for more information.
Ministerial Licensing
A Ministerial License shall be granted to those who have demonstrated both a calling and an ability to minister, giving evidence of being actively engaged in ministry and having purposed themselves wholly to the sharing of the Gospel. Video links of the applicant ministering may be required. Those who desire to be licensed but are new to ministry leadership can start the process under the guidance of a local pastoral overseer, in which case, a certificate may be granted over time. Ordination Certificate
The Ordination Certificate distinguishes one that is consecrated or set apart for the work of the ministry. Ordination may be granted to those with recognized and proven public ministries, demonstrating maturity in character and attitude, being sound in doctrine and Biblical knowledge. Who is FMI?
Fellowship of Ministers International has been focused on empowering God’s calling in people since 1944. We’ve been able to license and ordain leaders from around the world and it’s amazing to hear what God is doing in their ministries. FMI is recognized by the US Government and authorized to provide ministerial credentials. Salt & Light Ministries is a 501c3 ministry and the Ministerial Network is an extension of FMI for those who want to communicate with other leaders regularly. It is also a great way for young leaders to stay on track for ministerial licensing. For more info on FMI, and what is needed to receive ministry credentials, click here.
Why a Network?
A recent survey from Barna on Pastors revealed that 60% doubted their calling, 43% feel lonely; 33% are considering quitting, and 18% have considered self-harm. These stats show a great need for us to draw nearer to God and to each other. The ministry certainly has its victories and challenges. When we come together the Lord uses us to encourage one another to help keep our eyes fixed on God! And if you’re new in leadership, what better way to keep that spiritual momentum going than to stay connected to experienced Godly leaders to help you on your journey!
