First Steps
“Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Let me introduce you to the Light that leads to life—Jesus Christ, the Son of God! There is nothing on this earth that can compare to the sense of peace, direction, purpose and fulfillment that God gives to those who seek Him. Our ministry is dedicated to helping people discover and follow Jesus. We are here to help you on your journey of faith! If you haven’t already, take some time to review some of the links in our “Explore Christianity” Module. This will give you many things to consider concerning the Christian faith. It is good to take time to explore this as you take your first steps in being a fully devoted follower of Christ. When we repent of our sins and make things right with God and others, He can begin to do a deep work of restoration in us. The principles below are often referred to as the “Romans Road to Salvation” because the Scriptures come from the book of Romans in the Bible. If you are taking your first steps in Christian faith, please read and pray through these steps and email us to let us know, we’d love to celebrate with you!

A Prayer of Repentance
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for me and rose from the grave. I want to repent, to turn from my sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone as my Savior. Thank you for forgiving me and for the eternal life that awaits me as I continue to put my faith and trust in You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
We strongly encourage you to get involved in a church near you that believes in teaching the whole Bible and has small groups so you can grow in your faith with others. As with any relationship, it takes time. Take time to pray (listen and talk) with God daily and read the Bible. Perhaps begin by reading the Gospel of John, chapter by chapter. Find many other Bible Reading Plans here. These things are vital to your spiritual growth! Don’t do this journey with God alone, find others to join you. Get help from Ministry Leaders, and begin to serve in your church and community to help others find their way to God. Please also take time to review all the free resources here in “Basecamp”, from exploring Christianity to training for ministry, we got you covered! Have a great adventure, you’ve only just begun!
